About the role
Company Overview:
BlueCHP is a not for profit organisation and Tier 1 Community Housing Provider (CHP) and an accredited Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) provider under NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Our role is to grow the supply of high quality affordable and disability housing in Australia.
BlueCHP day-to-day activities revolve around property development, procurement and property management activities.
With a property portfolio valued at over $543m, commercial ownership of more than 1,150 homes, and over 2,000 affordable, social and disability homes delivered since 2008, together with an independent professional skills-based board and management with substantial international experience in both the development and financial sector, BlueCHP is recognised within the housing sector as the pre-eminent CHP development and asset manager.
The Role:
Working closely with our Development Managers, the Project Manager will take a lead role in the delivery of the Company’s residential development projects, such as small- to medium-density residential construction projects. The mandate will be to take responsibility for project delivery, from design development and procurement of consultants and contractors through to construction, practical completion and handover.
Experience & Rewards:
To be considered, you will have:
· Minimum 4-6 years of project management experience within the property or construction sector (client-side or developer-builder background preferred)
· Demonstrated experience managing the delivery of residential construction projects, including programming, budgeting, quality and risk management from design development through to practical completion and handover
· Experience preparing consultancy/contract briefs and negotiating and administering building contracts
· Knowledge of design/construction approval processes
· Understanding of government funding models, LAHC (Land and Housing Corporation) design standards, or social procurement is highly desirable
· Self-motivated and the ability to work autonomously
· Tertiary degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture or Property Economics
· Competency across Microsoft Office365 software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
