About the role
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Engineering Tradesperson to join our Toolroom and Maintenance team at our Mortdale manufacturing site.
This is a hands‑on role focused on tooling, machinery fitting, and supporting manufacturing operations. You will work with minimal supervision and be involved in maintaining, repairing, and improving tooling and equipment across the site.
This role suits a qualified tradesperson who enjoys practical work, problem‑solving, and working in a manufacturing environment.

Toolmaking and fitting work in a manufacturing environment
Maintenance and repair of press tools and machinery
Fitting, setting, and adjusting machinery and equipment
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
Manufacture, modify and repair tooling used in production
Working closely with production and maintenance teams
Assisting with training and support of apprentices when required
Maintaining housekeeping and safety standards at all times
Trade qualified Toolmaker or Mechanical Tradesperson
Certificate III – Mechanical Trade or
Certificate III – Toolmaking Trade (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, with 5 years preferred
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
Reliable, practical, and safety‑focused
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
