MacKellar Group has partnered with Middlemount Coal since 2015, providing a BIG equipment hire fleet with full maintenance service at the Middlemount Coal mine site.

We are an industry leader in the mining and civil earthmoving industries with over 50 years’ experience and operate a large fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment across Australia. We take pride in our people, our safety culture and maintaining our equipment to a high standard.
 
We are seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join our well-established operation at Middlemount Mine.

Your new role

• Drill maintenance, general repairs, fault diagnostics, servicing, daily refueling and inspections
• Ability to work day and night shifts
• Execute planned repairs within time and cost requirements
• Be self-motivated and able to work as directed
• Be committed to procedure based preventative maintenance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade qualified with post-trade experience in the mining industry (Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic)
• Current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Queensland driver licence
• Experience with Sandvik DR412i Drill rigs highly advantageous.
