The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Alcohol and Other Drugs service offers free, non-judgmental services and treatments for drug and/or alcohol use, including information and support for families. Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.
Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker looking for a meaningful role where you can create lasting positive change for parents, babies and families? Join the Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service (SUPPS), a highly specialised and collaborative service supporting women and families experiencing complex substance use challenges throughout pregnancy and early parenthood.
As the Senior Social Worker within SUPPS, you will play a pivotal role in supporting women and families through some of the most challenging and rewarding stages of their lives. You will provide specialist counselling, comprehensive case management, and ongoing support to pregnant women and parents of young children who are experiencing issues related to alcohol and other drug use. Working within a community-based setting, you will build strong therapeutic relationships, advocate for your clients, and help improve health, social and developmental outcomes for both parents and children.
