The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care, including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, preventive health assessments, and ongoing family medicine services. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting consultations, ordering and interpreting investigations, prescribing medications, coordinating care with nurses and allied health professionals, and maintaining accurate clinical records. The role also involves patient education, participation in clinical meetings, adherence to relevant clinical guidelines, and engagement in practice-based training and quality improvement activities.QualificationsClinical expertise in General Practice and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a broad range of presentations across the lifespan.Experience or training in Family Medicine, demonstrating a holistic approach to individual and family health.Ability to collaborate effectively with Nursing and other clinical staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.Commitment to ongoing Training, professional development, and staying current with clinical guidelines and best practices.Relevant medical degree, full or provisional medical registration with the appropriate medical board, and eligibility to work in Australia.Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with a focus on culturally safe and inclusive care.Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team in a general practice setting.Experience in regional practice and familiarity with Australian primary care systems are beneficial.
