Shams & Yass Pty Ltd trading as Mandi Al Arabia Perth, located in Morley, WA 6062, is seeking a full-time Cook who is qualified, experienced and passionate about producing high-quality food in a busy commercial kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow within a dynamic and supportive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities and Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes, menus and food safety standards

• Examining food ingredients and seasoning food during preparation and cooking to maintain consistent taste

• Regulate the temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment, store food in accordance with food safety requirements.

• Portion meals, arrange food on plates, and add gravies, sauces and garnishes.

• Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements, allergies and customer preferences.

• Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste through proper storage and portion control.

• Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen work area and follow sanitation procedures.

• Follow workplace health and safety, food handling

• May train and provide guidance to junior kitchen staff and apprentices, where required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Cert IV in Kitchen Management (or relevant equivalent experience)

• Proven experience as a Commercial Cook in a high-volume restaurant is essential

• Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high food quality, safety and hygiene protocols.
