Bookings Consultant - NSW | Acute & Theartre Nursing

About The Role

Lumia Care is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Bookings Consultant to join our Nursing Workforce team.

In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and coordination of nursing staff across acute hospital and perioperative (theatre) environments. You will work closely with hospitals, nurses, and internal teams to ensure shifts are filled quickly and efficiently while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and fill acute and theatre nursing shifts dailyManage urgent staffing requests from hospitals and healthcare facilitiesMatch appropriately skilled nurses to shift requirementsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and clinical staffMonitor workforce availability and proactively fill upcoming vacanciesEnsure all bookings meet compliance and credentialing requirementsHandle roster changes, cancellations, and last-minute shift requestsMaintain accurate records within rostering and recruitment systemsWork collaboratively with recruitment and workforce teams to maximise fill rates

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

Previous experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling, bookings, recruitment, or healthcare staffingExperience within nursing, healthcare, hospital, or agency staffing environments highly regardedStrong communication and relationship management skillsExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail and problem-solving capabilityConfidence using workforce management and scheduling systemsA proactive and resilient approach to work
