Building Site Supervisor

About the role

Applied Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Building Site Supervisor to join our construction team based in Truganina, VIC 3029. This is a full-time position that will see you taking a leadership role on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. As Building Site Supervisor, you will be the key point of contact between management and the construction team, playing a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and productivity across all on-site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and directing construction workers and contractors on site to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to specification

• Conducting daily safety inspections and toolbox talks to maintain a culture of health and safety compliance

• Monitoring project progress against schedules and budgets, reporting variances to management

• Quality checking all work completed on site to ensure compliance with building standards and contractual requirements

• Managing site logistics, including materials delivery, equipment placement and waste management

• Maintaining detailed records of daily activities, incidents, inspections and progress reports

• Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to address concerns and coordinate site activities

• Inducting new team members and ensuring all personnel understand site-specific procedures and requirements

• Managing site security and controlling access to the construction area

• Identifying and resolving issues that may impact project delivery, safety or quality

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in a site supervisory or foreperson role within the construction industry

• Formal qualifications in construction management, building supervision or equivalent trade background

• Valid White Card (Construction Induction Training) or willingness to obtain one

• Strong knowledge of Australian construction standards, building codes and workplace health and safety legislation

• Proven experience managing multiple trades and coordinating complex construction activities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Computer literacy including experience with project management software and Microsoft Office

• Full Australian driver's licence

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
