Practice Nurse

About the role

The Practice at Clem Jones Centre is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join the team on a casual basis. You will bring a strong focus on providing patient centred care and will be driven to achieve positive patient outcomes. As part of the clinical team, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical operations of the practice while working alongside experienced and passionate medical professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Chronic disease management

• Vaccine administration and management, including cold chain

• Health assessments

• Wound management

• ECG and Spirometry

• Procedures including iron infusions

• Treatment room and stock control

• Infection control

• Triage – over the phone and in person

• Assisting with accreditation

About you

• Current registration with AHPRA

• Hold a Registered Nurse qualification

• Qualified nurse immuniser (desired but not required)

• Commitment to ongoing training

• Always maintain patient and staff confidentiality

• Previous experience in General Practice

• Knowledge of Best Practice Management Software

The Practice is located within the campus of Clem Jones Centre, Carina. The Practice at Clem Jones Centre provides integrated health care between GPs and co-located allied health professionals (including physiotherapy, exercise physiology, podiatry, dietitian, psychology) and other medical specialists (including psychiatry, cardiology and ophthalmology). This GP owned practice aims to provide high-quality patient care with a strong focus on health promotion and preventative health care.
