HR Truck Driver – Leading Hand

We’re looking for an experienced HR Truck Driver (Leading Hand) to join our team and take on a key role in the day‑to‑day operations. If you’re a reliable operator with strong leadership skills and a hands‑on attitude, this is a great opportunity to step up and make an impact. This role will commence 14/09/26.

About the Role

As the Leading Hand, you’ll support the QLD Operations Supervisor by assisting with overseeing daily truck movements, ensuring safety and compliance, and helping guide a small team of drivers. You’ll still be behind the wheel, but you’ll also play a big part in keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HR vehicles safely and efficiently

• Lead, support and mentor a team of drivers

• Coordinate daily runs, deliveries and schedules

• Conduct pre‑start checks and ensure fleet compliance

• Assist with loading/unloading when required

• Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery records

• Promote a strong safety culture across the team

What We’re Looking For

• Current HR licence

• Previous Leading Hand or team‑leader experience (preferred)

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

• Good knowledge of load restraint and safety procedures

• Physically fit and reliable

• Must have unlimited working rights in Australia
