Head Chef - American BBQ

Head Chef 

We are excited to be looking for a new Head Chef to join our Big Pig team in 2026! This year coming will be our 11th year in operation and we are still going strong. We have a great focus on local families and create a relaxed environment for people to eat and have a few beers.

This role is perfect for someone who is looking to take their first leap into the top kitchen position. Our current kitchen team is very strong so a lot of support and knowledge can be passed on. We also have a full time chef with a great knowledge of all things smoked so this can definitely be learnt on the job if you don't have a background in smoking.

The position requires an organised Chef, this is the most important thing! We are looking for someone who can take care of ordering, someone who is used to a full docket rail and working under pressure. We are happy to train the right candidate as long as they have the right attitude. 

Our menu is based around Smoked Meats with the addition of Burgers and all things ‘Americana’.
