Centre Director

A rare leadership opportunity on the Gold Coast

Opportunities to lead one of our established Gold Coast centres don’t come around often.

Following the internal promotion of our current Centre Director, we’re looking for an experienced early childhood leader to take the reins at Edge Early Learning Bilinga and continue building on the strong foundations already in place.

This is an opportunity for a Centre Director who loves the people side of leadership just as much as the operational side. Someone who can build a strong team culture, develop their leaders, connect genuinely with families and create a centre where educators want to stay and grow.

You won’t be expected to do it alone. You’ll be supported by your Area Manager and a broader network of operational and Support Office teams, while still having the autonomy to lead your centre and make an impact.

What you’ll lead:

As Centre Director, you’ll take overall leadership of the centre, with responsibility for your people, families, quality, compliance and commercial performance.

You’ll:

• Lead, coach and develop your leadership team and educators
• Build a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture
• Create strong relationships with children, families and the local community
• Drive occupancy through an exceptional family experience and strong community connections
• Maintain high standards across child safety, compliance and quality
• Lead continuous improvement and embed quality practice across the service
• Manage staffing and rostering effectively while maintaining quality and consistency
• Understand your centre’s performance and confidently work towards operational and financial goals
• Identify and develop future leaders within your team
• Partner with your Area Manager and support teams to continuously strengthen centre performance

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced early childhood leader who can balance people leadership with the operational responsibilities of running a successful service.

You’ll bring:

• Previous experience as a Centre Director or in a senior early childhood leadership position
• A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
• National Child Safety Training (GECCKO), mandatory
• Strong people leadership, coaching and performance management capability
• Confidence managing centre operations, occupancy, staffing and budgets
• A genuine commitment to child safety and quality early learning
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with families and your team
• A current Working with Children Blue Card
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain
• Current Child Protection training, or willingness to obtain
