About the role
Full-Time Positions | Rockhampton Region | Immediate Starts Available
TBG is a specialist contractor supporting Queensland’s transport and energy networks. We deliver civil construction, rail systems, power distribution, electrical and HVAC projects across the state.
Due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of power infrastructure projects, we are seeking experienced and motivated people to join our team in the following roles:
Plant Operators
Concreters
Trades Assistants
Important: These are not FIFO or DIDO positions. Successful applicants must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the Rockhampton region.
These are excellent full-time opportunities to contribute to the construction and maintenance of critical infrastructure while building a long-term career with a growing Queensland-based organisation.
Reporting to the Site Leadership Team, your responsibilities may include:
Supporting the construction and maintenance of civil and power infrastructure
Operating plant, equipment and tools safely and competently
Completing concreting, excavation, foundation and general civil construction activities
Following approved procedures, risk assessments and safe work practices
Working collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and other project team members
Delivering work safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
Maintaining equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition
Contributing positively to team culture and upholding TBG’s values
Travelling throughout Queensland when required
To be successful, you will ideally have:
Previous experience in the relevant role or within the civil construction industry
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
The physical fitness and capacity to undertake manual work in outdoor environments
Experience using construction tools, equipment and machinery
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A reliable, practical and proactive approach to work
A willingness to work away from home and travel throughout Queensland when required
The ability to work effectively within small project teams
The following will be highly regarded:
Relevant trade qualifications or construction competencies
Previous experience working on rail, power, utility or civil infrastructure projects
Experience working with Aurizon, Energy Queensland or interstate utility providers
HR Driver’s Licence
Excavator competency or licence, from under 5 tonnes through to 13 tonnes
Skid Steer competency or licence
Other relevant civil construction plant and machinery competencies
Immediate starts for suitable candidates
Ongoing, full-time employment
