Senior Estimator

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are seeking a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating activities across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Projects across workplace, education, healthcare, retail, hospitality, industrial and government sectors.

This opportunity is also well suited to a high-performing Senior Estimator looking to take the next step into a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the estimating function across commercial newbuild, fitout and refurbishment projectsManage the end-to-end tender process from initial review through to final submissionDevelop pricing strategies and provide commercial input on major bids and opportunitiesPrepare and review detailed estimates, BOQs, cost plans and value engineering solutionsAssess tender risks, opportunities and procurement strategiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clientsMentor and support junior and intermediate estimators, helping drive best-practice estimating processesWork closely with project teams and senior leadership to secure and win profitable work

Skills & Experience

8+ years' experience in estimating within a commercial construction, fitout or refurbishment contractor environmentPrevious leadership experience or a demonstrated desire to step into an Estimating Manager positionStrong understanding of tendering methodologies, procurement and commercial construction practicesExperience pricing projects across commercial, workplace, education, healthcare, retail, government or industrial sectorsProficient in CostX, Cubit or similar estimating softwareStrong commercial acumen, communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
