Dice Aust is seeking an experienced, trade-qualified Carpenter to join our Darwin team on a full-time basis.

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting our current construction works and growing pipeline of residential projects across Darwin and the surrounding area. Projects will include new residential builds, renovations, extensions and general construction works.

Key responsibilities

• Complete general carpentry across different stages of construction

• Timber and steel framing

• Fix-out and fit-off works

• Install doors, windows, skirtings, architraves and hardware

• Complete cladding, eaves, soffits and other external finishes

• Undertake roofing, decking, stairs, fencing and gate works

• Assist with formwork and basic concrete preparation

• Read construction drawings, set out and work from plans

• Complete maintenance, renovation and defect works

• Use hand and power tools safely

• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and site safety

About you

We are looking for a practical and reliable all-round carpenter who takes pride in their work. You must be able to work independently when required while also contributing positively to the wider project team.

You will need:

• A recognised carpentry trade qualification

• Relevant residential construction experience

• A current driver’s licence

• A current Construction White Card

• Your own basic hand tools

• The ability to read and interpret construction drawings

• A strong commitment to safety, quality and reliability

Desirable but not essential

• Welding or basic fabrication experience

• Experience with structural steel and metal components

• EWP or Working at Heights tickets

• Experience supervising or supporting apprentices and trade assistants
