About the team

Our Investment Advisory practice provides a broad service including advice, monitoring, reporting and administration to a wide variety of clients, from high-net-worth individuals to institutional and not-for-profit clients. We cover a large range of asset classes and investment products, including listed securities and managed funds.

About the role

As part of the investment research team, the Senior Investment Research Analyst - investment advisory will provide comprehensive research coverage across key stocks / sectors within the Australian and Global equity market.

This role involves driving deep market insights, shaping investment recommendations, and contributing to the strategic direction of the research function.

The Senior Investment Research Analyst will also mentor and provide expert guidance to junior analysts, ensuring the overall quality and consistency of research outputs across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor authorised securities and products, ensuring they align with client needs and investment philosophy.
• Conduct in-depth research, due diligence and analysis across assigned sectors, securities, ETFs and managed funds.
• Develop new investment ideas and prepare clear reports and recommendations for the Investment Committee.
• Build strong relationships with brokers, fund managers, analysts and product issuers to access market intelligence and insights.
• Work closely with Investment Advisory, Portfolio Services, Compliance and client-facing teams to share research and investment insights.
• Contribute to Investment Strategy Committee meetings, adviser meetings and research presentations, providing market and stock views.
• Provide timely investment insights and tailored support for advisers and HNW clients, including fund manager due diligence.
• Contribute to research projects, thematic papers, process improvements, AI/model development, compliance and ongoing business initiatives.

Who we're after

Here are the some of the key qualifications, skills and personal attributes we're looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not all - that's ok! We'd still love for you to apply.

• 5+ years' experience in equities research, investment analysis or portfolio management, with strong ESG knowledge and company valuation skills.
• Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills, with experience using platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, CapIQ, Morningstar Direct or similar
• Strong written and verbal communication, strategic thinking, leadership capability and confidence engaging with diverse stakeholders.
