About the role
WFM is a proudly Australian family-owned transport company with depots in Eastern Creek (NSW), Tullamarine (VIC) and Bundamba (QLD). We provide reliable interstate linehaul services for a range of major customers, as well as servicing mine sites throughout Central West NSW.
With a fleet of over 180 prime movers, we continue to grow and are currently seeking experienced Melbourne-based MC Drivers for permanent and casual interstate B-Double linehaul positions.
Road Ranger experience is essential.
This position involves operating modern B-Double combinations on interstate linehaul runs between Melbourne and Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane transporting time-sensitive freight while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Safely operate B-Double combinations on interstate linehaul routes.
Meet scheduled transit times while complying with fatigue management requirements.
Complete pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain a clean and presentable allocated vehicle.
Ensure freight is loaded and restrained in accordance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
Complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation accurately.
Represent WFM professionally when dealing with customers and the public.
To be successful, you will have:
Current MC Licence.
Previous interstate linehaul experience.
Demonstrated Road Ranger gearbox experience (essential).
Experience loading and restraining freight.
A strong safety focus and good driving record.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional presentation and communication skills.
BFM accreditation preferred.
Excellent kilometre rate of 62 cents per kilometre for permanent drivers.
