Yard & Plant Operators | Sino Iron

PPS Servicing has proven experience and capabilities in the mining industry, providing maintenance, construction, engineering, fabrication and installation services across industrial facilities.

We are currently seeking experienced Operators to join our team on a 2:1 FIFO roster at the Sino Iron Project, Cape Preston. We have a range of operational opportunities available across yard & plant operations.

Positions:

Yard Operator: 2&1 Day shift only roster

Plant Operator/TA: 2&1 shift work roster

Location: Sino Iron Project, Cape Preston (FIFO from Perth)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

As an Operator with PPS Servicing, you will support our maintenance, production and site operations teams across a range of operational activities. Positions may be available across yard operations, mobile plant and process operations, with duties allocated according to your experience, qualifications and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate and assist with the use of mobile plant, vehicles and site equipment as required.

• Support maintenance and production teams with the movement of materials, spare parts and equipment.

• Operate HR Vehicles and authorised mobile equipment safely and in accordance with site procedures.

• Support maintenance and trade activities including assisting plant and process operations in accordance with site procedures and operational requirements.

• Conduct routine inspections of work areas, equipment and laydown areas and report any hazards, defects or maintenance requirements.

• Assist with decontamination facilities, including tools, equipment, vehicles and mobile plant/light vehicles.

• Complete all duties in accordance with company policies, site procedures and health and safety requirements.

• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Successful Candidates Will Possess

• 1-2 years previous experience in mining, heavy industry, mobile plant, processing, yard or similar operational environments.

• Current HR Driver's Licence (Essential for Yard Operator).

• Forklift ticket (Essential for Yard Operator).

• Telehandler ticket (Essential for Yard Operator)

• Valid White Card / Construction Induction Card.

• Current Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets.

• Other relevant mobile plant tickets highly regarded

• Valid White Card / Construction Induction Card.

Applicants Will Be Required To

• Pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Test prior to commencement.

• Be able to work wearing a 3M 7500 Half Face Respirator.

• Meet all site-specific training, competency and mobilisation requirements.
