Shutdown Planner Electrical

Immediate start on casual contract (full time hours Mon-Fri) for secondment to shutdown planning team of an integrated mining and chemical refining company based on the Kwinana strip.

Assignment Details

Our client requires additional planners for their shutdown planning team.

In planning phase client offers option of flexible working arrangements including 9 day fortnight – every second week enjoy a long weekend.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop or refine work packages based on work requests and inspection results.

• Liaise with production and maintenance stakeholders to ensure plant availability for planned works.

• Develop detailed workorders for schedule generation.

• With assistance of lead planner determine the critical path activities for the shutdown and sequence work accordingly.

• Validate the draft schedule with stakeholders and include feedback into the schedule prior to publication.

• Identify isolation requirements to production team, and ensure permitting applications are correctly submitted in on schedule during planning stage.

• Track execution and liaise with execution teams, production teams & engineering resources to resolve issues encountered during execution.

• Participate in shutdown meetings, progress meetings and track actions on post shutdown improvements

 Key skills and experience

• Previous shutdown and maintenance experience in a process plant

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Project, Word and Excel.

• Excellent analytical, planning, scheduling, implementation skills, combined with the ability to utilise knowledge gained

• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

• Experience in managing site contractors.

• Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to effectively plan work and manage multiple priorities.

• Existing and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia.

• Able to work within tight time constraints and deliver on deadline

• Extensive planning experience with relevant industry work history

• Trade Certificate with proven experience in related fields, or related Tertiary qualifications.

Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and be team orientated with strong leadership skills.
