Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across residential, commercial, and high-rise projects.

• Manage lighting, power systems, and temporary power supplies, ensuring top-notch quality and safety.

• Upgrade switchboards and fit-outs to the highest standards.

• Utilize your open cabler endorsement to handle communication cabling (if applicable).

• Work closely with a supportive team to meet project deadlines and exceed client expectations.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Electrician in NSW.

• Bonus: EWP (Elevated Work Platform) certificate.

• Experience with communication cabling and a solid understanding of NSW electrical standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

• A team player with great communication skills.

About the role

Join the Energex Group team in Sydney as an Electrical Apprentice. In this full-time role, you will embark on a rewarding career path, gaining hands-on experience and specialized 

training to become a qualified electrician. Work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality electrical services to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Assist qualified electricians with the installation of all electrical works in the construction industry.

• Learn to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics and technical documents

• Develop practical skills in electrical wiring, switchboard installation, testing and fault-finding

• Participate in formal training, including attending college courses, to obtain your electrical trade qualification

• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and regulations

• Provide excellent customer service and liaise with clients as required

What we're looking for

• Strong interest and enthusiasm for a career in the electrical trade

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions

• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment

• Relevant pre-apprenticeship qualifications or previous experience in the electrical industry would be an advantage but not necessary, all training will be provided.
