TO719 Road Maintenance Officer

As a Road Maintenance Officer, you’ll see the tangible results of your efforts and take pride in contributing to essential infrastructure that supports the whole community.

You’ll be part of a hands-on, close-knit team that looks out for one another. No two days are the same. Your role will involve a mix of road construction and maintenance, traffic control, manual works, plant operation, drainage and roadside maintenance. This is an active, outdoor role that suits people who enjoy physical work, practical problem-solving, and seeing real progress on the job.

What You Will Bring to the Role

Essential

• Construction Induction Certification (White Card).
• Class C drivers' licence.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  
• Demonstrated commitment to a team-based approach, reliability and punctuality, with a proven ability to work in a team environment.
• Displays a positive attitude.

Desirable

• Class HR driver’s licence.
• Chainsaw Certification.
• Current Implement Traffic Control Plans and Traffic Controller Certification.

• This position is graded 3-4 in Council's salary system.
• Gross weekly wage range is $1118.40 to $1264.60 dependent upon qualifications and experience.
• You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job.
