Local HR Driver

GKR transport are currently looking for a reliable HR Driver with multi drop experience to join our Villawood team. You’ll be handling local pickups and deliveries of general freight in our HR tautliner. A HR or higher licence and experience with general freight is essential to be successful in the role.

If you have at least 2 years of experience driving HR vehicles around the metro Sydney area, experience strapping and securing loads and have a HR licence we want to hear from you.

Shift: Monday to Friday - 7.00am - 4.00pm with some extra hours as required

Rate: $37.37 per hour

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Operate Tautliner and Open rigid trucks, doing multidrop pick ups and deliveries.

• Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to designated locations.

• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and professional presentation.

• Perform pre-start and end-of-day maintenance checks on vehicles.

• Collaborate effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must hold a HR licence as a minimum.

• Minimum 2 years of HR driving experience with general freight

• Must have experience with ugly freight and know how to use chain restraints

• Knowledge of the Sydney metropolitan area.

• A forklift license is preferred but not essential.

• Willing to provide a clean driving record.

• Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, police check and provide 1 recent work reference who will be contacted.
