About the role
The Coordinator Volunteer Programs is a unique role within Western Australian prisons as this position coordinates all aspects of volunteering at Boronia Pre-release Centre for Women. There is no similar position to the Coordinator Volunteer programs within any other Western Australian prison as it is intrinsically linked to Boronia’s unique philosophy and guiding principles.
Volunteers are an essential component in realizing the Centre’s goal of successfully preparing women in custody for integration into the community. This integration is a critical function of Boronia and involves establishing links with the community and other organisations to provide opportunities for direct participation by volunteers and community members in Boronia’s re-integration activities.
