Senior Financial Accountant (12-month maternity leave cover)

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role supporting the financial reporting, compliance and governance of the Lovisa Group. You’ll work across a broad range of financial accounting activities, with exposure to group reporting, statutory compliance, external audit, tax, cash flow and month-end.

This is a great opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with a wider finance team and taking ownership of high-quality financial reporting.

About The Role

Support the preparation of Full Year and Half Year financial reporting for the ASX-listed parent company, including consolidations and note disclosuresAssist with the preparation and lodgment of statutory financial statements and tax returns for group entitiesPrepare tax-effect accounting entries and supporting workpapersSupport the external audit process at both group and local level, including audit documentation, sample preparation and follow-up queriesAssist with forecasting and the day-to-day management of group cash flow and currency requirementsSupport the management of the Group’s insurance programAssist with company secretarial requirements for group subsidiary companies in conjunction with external advisersSupport store licensing applications and ongoing compliance requirementsPrepare month-end accounting for equity transactions, accruals and prepaymentsAssist with month-end reporting and review of financial resultsPrepare and/or review general ledger reconciliationsProvide financial analysis and support across ad hoc projects as required

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a confident and commercially minded finance professional with strong technical accounting capability and excellent attention to detail.

You’ll Ideally Bring

CA or CPA qualificationStrong financial accounting and analytical skillsExperience with statutory and financial reportingStrong understanding of month-end processes and general ledger reconciliationsExperience supporting external auditsStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to analyse data and identify opportunities for process improvementA collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider Finance teamIntermediate Excel skillsExperience using finance systems, ideally including OracleRetail accounting experience is desirable but not essential
