About the role

Wintringham’s Port Melbourne Hostel is seeking an experienced Enrolled Endorsed Nurse to join our team. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents. Reporting to the Residential Site manager, responsibilities include:

• Observe and report changes in resident’s behaviour or physical condition
• Undertake medication management and treatment procedures
• Liaise with medical practitioners, pharmacists & other health services
• Assist the RN1 with clinical requirements of residents
• Assist in the implementation of cigarette & alcohol programs
• Provide emotional support to residents.

What are we looking for?

• Ability to work both in team and autonomously
• Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration)
• Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community/home care
• The ability to enhance or maintain our residents’ independence and lifestyle
• A friendly and non-judgmental attitude

What we offer

Employment type: Part Time Role

Pay: $40.21/hour – $45.10/hour (depending on your quals & experience) plus super. Above Award pay and not-for-profit salary packaging benefits of up to $18,500 each year.

Location: Port Melbourne Hostel (VIC)

Roster/hours of work: 8 shifts per fortnight

Week 1: Monday (1430 – 2215), Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (0700 – 1500)

Week 2: Thursday, Friday (0700 -1500) and Saturday (1430 – 2215)
