About the role
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
Applications are invited from innovative and engaging leaders for the position of Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinator at the St Kilda Road Campus. This is a full-time, ongoing teaching position with a 3-year position of responsibility including a 0.6 FTE time release and a 0.4 FTE teaching load. This position is commencing at the start of the 2027 school year.
The PYP Curriculum Coordinator is a key leadership role responsible for the pedagogical leadership, management and oversight of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) across ECLC to Year 6. The role leads curriculum, assessment, reporting and teaching practice in alignment with Wesley College values, ACARA requirements and the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, while promoting innovative and inquiry-based learning across the campus.
Working closely with campus and College leaders, the PYP Coordinator oversees PYP implementation, documentation, resources, compliance and community engagement, including key elements such as the Learner Profile, transdisciplinary learning and the PYP Exhibition. The role collaborates with PYP Coordinators across campuses to support consistent curriculum delivery and provides leadership and guidance to Heads of Learning and teaching staff on curriculum, assessment, reporting and pedagogy.
