About the role
About the Role
This role undertakes a broad range of regulatory activities across various legislative frameworks including audits, inspections, investigations and certification functions to assess and verify compliance with applicable standards, policies and codes of practice. The role provides regulatory advice and support to industry and stakeholders, promotes awareness of compliance requirements, and contributes to the effective administration of regulatory programs.
The position applies a risk-based approach to compliance by identifying and assessing risks, monitoring regulated activities, investigating non-compliance, and recommending or implementing appropriate regulatory and enforcement actions. It is responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing reports and evidence, and ensuring regulatory activities are conducted in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
The role also contributes to incident management, emergency response and recovery activities, working collaboratively with government agencies, industry representatives and the community to address emerging risks and support regulatory outcomes.
