0–3 Room Leader & 2IC

Milieu Early Education & Care Brooklyn is looking for an experienced 0–3 Room Leader & 2IC to join our leadership team.

We are looking for someone who is confident, hands-on and passionate about providing high-quality care for babies and toddlers. This position will work closely with the Centre Director and Approved Provider, supporting both the 0–3 team and the wider service.

Milieu is focused on creating warm, engaging and high-quality environments where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to learn through play. We value strong relationships with children, families and educators, and we are looking for a leader who shares those values.

To be considered, you must have:

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or approved ECT qualification

• Minimum 2 years' leadership/2IC experience

• Previous Room Leader experience

• Strong experience working with children aged 0–3 years

• Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS and EYLF

• Confidence mentoring and supporting educators

• Excellent communication with families and staff

• Strong understanding of supervision, routines and responsive care for babies and toddlers

• Ability to undertake Responsible Person duties when required

You will be expected to lead by example, support educators on the floor, help create engaging learning environments, build strong relationships with families and assist the Centre Director with the day-to-day running of the service.

Diploma or ECT applicants only. Minimum 2 years' leadership experience and strong 0–2 experience are essential.
