About the Opportunity
AQMN is looking for a talented Lawyer to join our Canberra team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career lawyer with approximately 1–3 years' post-admission experience who is looking to broaden their legal experience, work closely with senior leadership and support a diverse range of clients.
You will be based in our Canberra office, working directly with senior leadership and supporting AQMN's clients across a variety of legal and advisory matters.

What You'll Be Doing
Depending on your experience and our clients' needs, you will:

• Provide legal advice and support across a variety of client matters

• Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical written advice

• Draft and review contracts, correspondence and other legal documentation

• Assist with commercial, government and regulatory matters

• Support matters involving procurement, probity, privacy, employment and dispute resolution

• Work directly with clients and build strong professional relationships

• Collaborate closely with senior lawyers and the broader AQMN team

• Develop your capability across new areas of law through hands-on experience and mentoring

About You
To be considered, you will need:

• Admission as a lawyer in the ACT

• Approximately 1–3 years' post-admission experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Sound judgement and excellent attention to detail

• A practical and solutions-focused approach

• Confidence engaging with clients and colleagues

• A willingness to learn and work across different areas of law

• A positive, collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be highly regarded but is not mandatory:

• Commercial law

• Litigation and dispute resolution

• Employment law

• Government law

• Privacy

• Procurement and probity

Security Clearance
An existing Australian Government security clearance is not required.
For the right candidate, AQMN can support and sponsor the security clearance process where required.
