For more than 50 years, Mures has been one of Tasmania's leading seafood businesses, proudly operating a fully integrated "hook to plate" model. From our fishing vessels to our seafood processing facility, fishmongers and award-winning restaurants, we are passionate about delivering premium-quality, sustainably caught Australian seafood.
We are seeking an experienced Seafood Processor / Fish Filleter to join our processing team based at our factory in Cambridge.
About the Role
You will play an important role in preparing premium seafood products to the highest standards of quality, presentation and food safety.
Your duties will include:
Filleting and portioning a variety of Australian fish species, while maintaining exceptional product quality and yield.
Processing whole fish and seafood products efficiently and accurately.
Skinning, trimming, pin boning and preparing seafood for retail, wholesale and hospitality customers.
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
Assisting with stock handling and general processing duties as required.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven experience as a seafood processor, fish filleter or demonstrated strong knife skills.
The ability to fillet a range of fish species efficiently while maintaining excellent yields.
A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced processing environment.
Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling tasks.
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.
Reliable transport and flexibility to work early starts when required.
