Trade Assistant x2

Established in 1974, MACS Australia Group is a proud West Australian family-owned company that delivers high-quality construction, industrial, maintenance and demolition services to municipal, commercial, and resource clients throughout Western Australia.

We are currently entering our peak season and are looking for two reliable and hardworking Trade Assistants to join our modular construction team for an immediate start.

These positions will initially be offered on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment for the right candidates.

About the Role

Working alongside our experienced modular installers and carpenters, your duties will include:

• Installing concrete block foundations

• Installing metal stumps to classrooms and pouring concrete footings

• Assisting with the installation of decking and decking panels

• General site cleaning and labouring

• Assisting trades with the installation and completion of modular buildings

• General construction duties as required

About You

We are looking for candidates who are reliable, hands-on and willing to work as part of a team. Previous construction or modular building experience will be highly regarded, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally important.

Ideally, you will have:

Previous experience in construction or labouring

• A current driver's licence

• Construction White Card

• A high level of punctuality and reliability

• Clear and effective communication skills

• Self-discipline to maintain the company van and equipment to a high standard

• Ability to undertake physically demanding work

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to work safely and follow site instructions

• Your own cordless tools – advantageous but not essential
