At Lifestart, we began in 1996 when eight families came together with a shared belief: children with disability deserve better support.

Today, we operate across NSW with eleven offices and support more than 10,000 children, young people, families, and carers nationwide. Our work is grounded in lived experience, collaboration, and a commitment to improving outcomes for every child we support.

Our Therapy and Behaviour Support teams work alongside families to deliver meaningful, individualised supports that help children and young people build skills, confidence, and independence within their communities.

We are now inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from passionate Allied Health professionals to join our talent pool across:

• Occupational Therapy
• Speech Pathology
• Physiotherapy
• Positive Behaviour Support

About the Opportunity

This Expression of Interest is for future Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and Behaviour Support Practitioner roles, supporting children and young people with disability and developmental delay.

Our services are delivered flexibly across:

• Family homes
• Schools and early learning settings
• Community environments
• Lifestart offices
• Telehealth where appropriate

We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities, with flexible working arrangements designed to support work-life balance. Availability to work later afternoons (up to 6pm) is highly desirable.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on your discipline, you will:

• Work collaboratively with children, young people and families to identify goals and priorities
• Deliver evidence-based, person- and family-centred intervention
• Build independence in daily living skills, communication, regulation, participation and mobility
• Support gross motor development, functional movement, sensory-motor integration and physical participation (Physiotherapy focus)
• Deliver communication, AAC and functional participation supports (Speech Pathology focus)
• Support daily living skills, sensory processing, regulation and assistive technology (OT focus)
• Provide positive behaviour support planning and implementation strategies (PBS focus)
• Deliver parent coaching and capacity-building support
• Contribute to reports, assessments and goal planning
• Work within a key worker / transdisciplinary model of practice
• Support group programs such as school readiness, life skills and parent workshops
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care

You will also have opportunities to develop specialist interests such as:

• Assistive technology prescription
• Home modifications
• Early intervention programs
• Mobility, strength and functional movement programs (Physio)
• Sensory processing and emotional regulation
• Communication systems and AAC
• Positive behaviour support planning

About You

We are seeking Allied Health professionals who bring:

• Qualification in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, or Psychology/Behaviour Support (relevant discipline)
• Current AHPRA registration (where applicable) or eligibility for registration
• Experience working with children and young people with disability or developmental delay (minimum 2+ years preferred; senior roles available for 4+ years)
• Strong understanding of person- and family-centred, strengths-based practice
• Commitment to inclusive practice and working with diverse communities
• Strong organisational and documentation skills
• Confidence using digital systems and adapting to evolving service delivery models
• Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
