The Opportunity:
Chemtrans is growing, and we're building a strong operational team at our Coopers Plains site to support the next phase of the business.
We're looking for an experienced Operations Administration Supervisor to join the team and take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of our transport operations.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our operation runs safely, efficiently and compliantly, while delivering the high level of service our customers expect. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who understands transport operations, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and knows how to get the best out of a team.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Supervising and coordinating day-to-day transport operations
Leading the team to deliver safe, efficient and customer-focused outcomes
Driving a strong safety culture, including audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, Chain of Responsibility and accreditation requirements
Maintaining compliance across fatigue, mass, load restraint, speed and vehicle standards
Monitoring driver compliance and ensuring operational allocations meet legislative requirements
Coaching and developing team members in safety, compliance and operational excellence
Overseeing operational administration, including driver paperwork, PODs, reporting and invoicing information
Working with the Operations Manager to improve operational efficiency, service and performance
What We're Looking For:
You'll be a practical, organised and confident supervisor who can balance the demands of people, customers, safety and compliance.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet or a similar operational environment
Supervisory or team leadership experience
A strong understanding of transport safety, compliance and Chain of Responsibility
The ability to lead, coach and hold people accountable to operational and safety standards
Strong planning, organisation and time-management skills
Confidence working in a fast-moving environment and managing competing priorities
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and operational/database systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A customer-focused approach and the ability to build effective relationships
A genuine commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
