Permanent Full-Time, Part-time or Casual Job Opportunities Available – up to 38 hours per week!
Attractive weekly salary ranging from $1,118.80 upto $1,273.40 (permanent work). Casuals receive $36.80 upto $41.89 per hour (Including 25% leave loading).
PLUS retention payments under the Local Government Splinter Award – extra money paid on top of your base salary to reward your ongoing contribution to the Early Childhood Education and Care sector!

The Opportunity
Step into a vibrant early childhood environment where you can truly make a difference. As a Childcare Assistant, you will contribute to high-quality early childhood education and care at Gwydir Day Care and Preschool. This role assists in creating a consistent, nurturing, safe, creative and engaging environment for all children.
Your daily tasks will include supporting routines, engaging with children during play, and assisting in the practical implementation of planned experiences linked to the Early Years Learning Framework. You will establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with families while supporting children individual health, dietary, and developmental needs.

About You
You are a passionate, collaborative, and enthusiastic educator who remains calm and composed while managing the dynamic needs of a childcare environment. You possess a proven ability to observe, record, and evaluate children development while effectively communicating with both adults and children.
To succeed in this role, you will bring
A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or you are currently working towards this qualification, paired with practical experience.
A minimum age of 18 years with an education level of a Year 12 Certificate or equivalent.
A current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting Certificate, including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management.
A working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and industry regulations.
A current Working with Children Check, a National Criminal History Check, and evidence of required immunisations including Whooping Cough, MMR, and Seasonal Influenza.
