About the role

We’re excited about an opportunity on offer to join our Thomastown depot as either a Technical Officer - Tester or Senior Technical Officer - Tester!

The primary focus of this role is to provide technical support, perform testing, facilitate work delivery and ensure assets return to service safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. You will deliver protection, control, metering and SCADA secondary systems installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault rectification activities across the network.

Key Responsibilities include

• Provide technical support on secondary systems and schemes (protection, instrumentation, metering, SCADA, controls, alarms)
• Apply for access authorities and perform switching, isolating, earthing & restoration of plant
• Coordinate and conduct testing activities with internal and external stakeholders, including performing diagnostic testing, maintenance and repair on protection, control, metering and secondary systems equipment
• Installation of complex protection schemes, instrumentation and energy metering schemes and controls, alarms and SCADA systems
• Prepare and maintain accurate work records, supporting project delivery and ensuring materials are available to meet timeframes

About You

You’re a skilled Technical Officer - Tester or Senior Technical Officer - Tester with a passion for field work and a strong safety mindset. You thrive in hands on environment with experience delivering field installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault rectification work safely and independently.

• Advanced Diploma of ESI - Power systems
• Experience with protection, metering, control or SCADA schemes in live network environments
• Demonstrated ability to interpret drawings, settings and technical documentation
• Proven ability to produce technical reports, verify work evidence, and close out job packs
• Current Australian driver’s licence
