Rockhampton Regional Council is on the lookout for enthusiastic go-getters who are ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of Civil Construction. You will undertake general labouring duties, including pipe laying and concreting, operate and maintain small machines and hand tools and work within diverse teams across our beautiful region. With the help of our qualified team, you’ll gain a Certificate II in Civil Construction over a 12-month nominal study term.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Assessment & Selection Period

Applicants should be available during the following assessment dates:

• All Apprenticeships & Traineeships (excluding BATS):Tuesday, 8 September – Thursday, 10 September 2026

To be eligible for this role, applicants must be

• Aged 15 years or older and no longer at school.
• Able to meet citizen, residency, and visa requirements to undertake a traineeship.
• In possession of a C Class Driver Licence (Minimum Provisional).
• Able to complete a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Rockhampton Regional Council Traineeship & Apprenticeship opportunities are made available with the assistance of government funding. This position is subject to further eligibility requirements. Applicants must meet one of the following identified groups (you can meet more than one requirement):
