InHome Care SA is a South Australian organisation dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to older people in their own homes and within the community. We offer a range of services, including personal care, social support, allied health, and domestic assistance, to clients across metropolitan Adelaide. Our approach focuses on promoting independence and reablement - empowering individuals to live their daily lives with dignity, choice, and confidence.
We provide a wholistic approach to care and services, and our Home Support Workers play a key role. Care and delivery varies according to the needs and goals of clients and includes a wide range of personal care, to household assistance (light cleaning) and also social support activities!
Due to continuing program expansion, we are looking for Home Support Workers with Certificate III in Aged /Individual Support, who show sincere empathy, and respect for older people, hold a high level of integrity, are flexible and have good organisational skills to assist and provide support to our clients living in their own homes across metropolitan Adelaide.
In addition, we love people who are helpful by nature, efficient and positive enthusiastic team members!
The role:
This role will assist our clients with personal care, medication management, light housework/cleaning, meal preparation social activities etc
What you will be doing:
Assisting clients in their homes, according to their personal needs and requirements.
Provide assistance with activities of daily living, inclusive of personal care, home tasks, and social support.
Encourage a supportive and inclusive environment that enhances client wellbeing, fosters independence and promotes community connection.
Medication management
transport to medical appointments/social visits etc
Essential skills for this role are:
Certificate III Aged Care/Individual Support,
A demonstrated Commitment to high-quality service provision.
The Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and problem solve.
Proven fluency in English language, including written and verbal skills. (As many of our clients are Greek speaking, if you can speak Greek, this is highly advantageous!)
A current Aged Care Police Clearance - Provided prior to commencement.
A Current driver’s licence, own fully insured vehicle, and willingness to travel.
A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
Desirable Skills and experience:
Proven experience in a similar role with a minimum 12 months is ideal
The ability to work autonomously
Familiarity with Aged Care, Community care, Disability Care or a Health care customer setting.
Fluency in Greek and/or Italian (Highly Advantageous)
Willingness to work Weekends and Evenings (Highly Advantageous)
