About the role
Details: Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) is seeking an experienced Manager, Family Connection and Restoration to lead a dedicated team focused on strengthening family, culture and community connections for children and young people in out-of-home care (OOHC).
In this critical leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Family Connection and Restoration team while driving initiatives that support the implementation of the Our Booris, Our Way recommendations. You will contribute to systemic improvements that ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children grow up safe, strong and connected to their families, culture and communities.
The Manager works closely with internal and external stakeholders to lead and oversee reviews and assessments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people in OOHC. You will provide clinical leadership and expert advice on risk assessment, restoration suitability, restoration planning and pathways, and support contemporary policy and practice development. A key focus of the role is strengthening and maintaining meaningful connections between children, their families, kinship networks and communities.
