About the role
Queensland Foster and Kinship Care (QFKC) is seeking a highly organised and people-focused Recruitment Support Officer to provide administrative, intake and program support across key carer recruitment initiatives, including the Brisbane and Moreton Bay Recruitment, Training and Assessment Program, the Returning Carers Program and broader QFKC carer recruitment activities.
About the role
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Recruitment Support Officer will assist with referral management, applicant enquiries, intake processes, documentation, data entry, stakeholder communication and reporting. The position plays an important role in supporting the timely progression of applications and contributing to smooth, coordinated program delivery. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and can confidently support applicants, carers, Child Safety and partner agencies through clear communication, accurate record keeping and timely follow-up.
Key responsibilities
Receive and process referrals for QFKC recruitment programs.
Respond to enquiries and provide accurate program information to applicants, carers and stakeholders.
Complete initial intake processes and issue relevant documentation, including consent forms.
Maintain accurate applicant and program records in QFKC’s SharePoint system.
Follow up with applicants, Child Safety and partner agencies to support application progression.
Collect, organise and prepare data and updates for reporting purposes.
Support the Program Manager, Recruitment Coordinator and broader team with coordinated program delivery.
About you
You will bring strong administrative and communication skills, a practical and organised approach, and the ability to work respectfully and professionally with a range of stakeholders. You will be confident handling sensitive information, managing competing priorities and maintaining accurate records.
Essential requirements
Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Community Services, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Experience providing administrative, intake, recruitment, program support or community services support.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and confidence using electronic record keeping systems, including SharePoint or similar platforms.
Current Working with Children Check Queensland, or ability to obtain and maintain one prior to commencement.
Desirable experience
Previous experience in foster and kinship care, child protection, community services, recruitment, intake or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
Employment conditions and benefits
This position is offered under the SCHADS Award Level 3.3 and associated conditions. The role is worked as a nine-day fortnight and includes birthday leave and three days of gifted Christmas leave. Up to $15,900 salary sacrifice and up to $2,650 entertainment packaging available per annum.
