Technical Advisor Load and Haul

About the role

The role is responsible for the onsite training and development of Sandvik and Client personnel to ensure Sandvik's Underground Mining equipment (LH410, LH307, LH621 & TH663) meets the Clients required performance levels. The role will also assess technical issues on the SMRT equipment and work within improvement processes to improve maintenance reliability, availability and reduce operational costs.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with national site technicians in the underground workshop and production areas in a mentoring, supervising and hands-on role

• Assess technical issues on SMRT equipment and work within improvement processes to improve maintenance reliability, availability and reduce operational costs

• Work with Customers Continuous Improvement Team and attend meetings as required

• Undertake on-the-job technical training of onsite technicians

• Coaching and mentoring of onsite technicians

• Fault finding and troubleshooting of equipment issues

• Quality control of maintenance tasks

• Identification and escalation of technical issues to the National Product Support Team

• Assist Project Managers with site training needs analysis and dissemination of bulletins and alerts

• Assist with the development of site-specific JSEA's and SWI's

• Relevant trade qualification

• Superior standard of interpersonal skills and leadership qualities which contribute to teamwork

• Strong focus on safety and capacity to adhere to all site mandatory Life Saving Rules

• Highly developed time management and organizational skills

• Ability to lead team of technical personnel

• Flexible, self-motivated and demonstrated initiative

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Computer systems literacy is essential

• Report writing skills are desirable

• High level of drive and determination to achieve goals and targets set for customer satisfaction
