Events Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Coogee Bay Hotel, a family-owned hospitality venue.

Located opposite Coogee Beach in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs is so much more than just a hotel. This award-winning multifaceted venue includes one of Sydney's biggest gardens, Marra Bar & Grill, contemporary conference space, the iconic live entertainment venue – Selina’s, gaming lounge, sports bar, two accommodation options and two retail liquor outlets.

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a passionate Events Coordinator to join our iconic venue! 

About you:

Key attributes for this position:

• Previous experience in hotel accommodation, conference and events, or residential conference management.

• Proven experience coordinating residential conferences, including accommodation, catering, meeting spaces, and delegate requirements.

• Experience planning and coordinating social events, including birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, celebrations, and other special occasions.

• Ability to create memorable guest experiences by understanding client needs and delivering personalised event solutions for special occasions.

• You will be the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers throughout the planning and delivery of each event.

• Excellent client relationship management skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.

• Develop and maintain strong and profitable relationships with new and returning clients.

• Liaise with internal departments to ensure all event specifications are executed seamlessly.

• Timely and accurate distribution of all event-related information to internal and external stakeholders.

• High level of personal and professional presentation.

• Excellent listening, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability using IVvy booking platform Microsoft Office applications and databases, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.

• Identify opportunities to upsell accommodation and food and beverage packages
