Advanced/Intermediate Riggers

We are currently looking for experienced Advanced/Intermediate Riggers to join our team on the McArthur River Mine Project. This is an outstanding opportunity to develop your career with a dynamic and growing company, who boast a great and different culture " Be Like No Other”.

About the Role

SIMPEC will deliver structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works as part of this project. The scope also includes modifications to existing infrastructure and installation of ancillary items.

Located approximately 900km southeast of Darwin, the McArthur River Mine is a key site within Glencore’s operations.

• Roster: FIFO – 2 weeks on / 1 week off
• Project Duration: Approximately 3 - 4 months
• Point of Hire: All capital cities

While the role operates on a FIFO roster, candidates ideally based in Darwin are sought; however, applications from other locations are welcome.

Essential Qualifications

• Ability to successfully pass a full pre-employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol screening
• Proven experience in construction or mining environments, with a strong focus on structural steel work
• High Risk Work Licence (WP and RA)
• Current Working at Heights certification (issued within the last 2 years)
• Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Current and valid driver’s licence
• Full Australian working rights
