About the role
We have an opportunity for a Data Research Analyst to be part of our Impaired Driving Research Unit team, Traffic and Highway Patrol. The Data Research Analyst contributes to the emerging issues analysis process through systematic scanning and research to support the identification of emerging issues. The role will also be responsible for monitoring established issues that dominate organisational response.
The Data Research Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Unit's research projects and administrative functions. The position is primarily responsible for the collection, management and analysis of data relating to Driving Under the Influence of Drugs (DUID) and Roadside Drug Testing (RDT) matters. The successful applicant will also undertake research activities and reviews to enhance understanding of emerging and evolving drug trends, contributing to evidence-based decision making and strategic outcomes.
This position is fully office-based to maximise collaboration, maintain data integrity and facilitate access to specialised resources that support the delivery of high-quality operation and research outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to research that informs road safety initiatives and enhances understanding of drug-impaired driving trends. You will work alongside experienced pharmacologists in a collaborative and supportive environment while developing valuable research and analytical expertise.

Describe how you organise and prioritise your workload, manage business demands, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain accuracy and quality while undertaking administrative and project-related responsibilities in a high-volume environment.
