About the role
SIXT is a leading global mobility provider operating across more than 2,100 locations in 110+ countries. We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Claims Manager to join our growing business.
Reporting directly to company executives, you will lead our Claims Team and take ownership of the end-to-end motor vehicle claims and recovery process.
This is a hands-on management role combining claims, debt recovery, workshop oversight and cost control, with a strong focus on achieving the best commercial outcomes for the business.
Lead, support and develop the Claims Team.
Oversee motor vehicle claims from initial notification through to recovery and settlement.
Manage complex and escalated claims, disputes and debt recovery matters.
Work closely with insurers, assessors, repairers, debt collectors and legal representatives.
Oversee the company's internal workshop, including repair progress, costs and vehicle turnaround times.
Manage parts purchasing and ordering, including supplier pricing and negotiations.
Review and negotiate repair and mechanical quotes to control costs.
Drive strong recovery outcomes and minimise outstanding claim ageing.
Monitor claims, recovery and workshop KPIs and report performance to management.
Identify opportunities to improve claims processes, repair costs and operational efficiency.
Ensure claims are managed in line with internal procedures and relevant compliance requirements.
Experience in motor vehicle claims, insurance or a similar automotive role.
Car / Truck rental industry experience is highly regarded.
Strong negotiation, communication and problem solving skills.
Commercially focused with a strong understanding of cost control and recovery.
Automotive repair, workshop or parts purchasing knowledge is highly regarded.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Current Australian driver's licence.
