About The Role

We have an opportunity for a lawyer (1-2 year PQE) or associate (2-4 year PQE) to join our Health team on a fulltime basis.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

Defending claims for negligence against doctors, nurses, hospitals, and health services; andGathering medical evidence, investigating liability, and assessing quantum of the claim; andOpportunities to assist in coronial inquests/investigations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and a current New South Wales practising certificateExperience in defendant medical negligence litigation and coronial inquestsExperience managing litigated matters across a variety of jurisdictionsClient-facing experience, with the ability to understand and manage client needsA commercial approach, with the ability to articulate advice clearly and negotiate effectivelyExcellent technical skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload
