Senior Electrical Engineer (High Voltage Electrical Infrastructure)

ENGIAN is entering its next phase of growth by building a high-voltage transmission line and substation engineering capability that combines electrical design with 3d design delivery. We require a Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver high voltage electrical design.
ResponsibilitiesThe role requires a engineer who produces electrical studies, calculations, specifications, layouts and design deliverables, while also acting as a Technical Lead, Design Lead, checker or Package Lead when assigned.
Qualifications and experienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a power-systems or high-voltage focus.Proven experience personally producing detailed engineering studies or designs in one or more relevant technical areas, not solely reviewing work prepared by others.Working knowledge of CDEGS and CYMCAP is highly desirable. Able to independently produce transmission line electrical study reports including conductor ratings, insulation coordination, corona, audible noise, EMF, RFI, TVI studiesPractical knowledge of primary plant application, rating, specification and layout.Experience preparing and checking calculations, reports, single-line diagrams, specifications, data sheets, schedules, layouts and construction documentation.Demonstrated experience in a comparable senior role within the high-voltage electrical industry.Strong hands-on experience delivering primary electrical design for transmission lines, substations, switchyards or transmission and distribution infrastructure.Experience with brownfield substations, existing-asset interfaces, staging, outages and constructability.Sound understanding of Australian engineering practice, relevant standards, legislation and network service provider requirements.The ability to lead technical work, coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and communicate complex engineering matters clearly.
