About the Role
The Library Casual Staff and Operations Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of Library Client Services across the University. Working closely with the Team Leader, Library Client Services, you will coordinate multi-channel service rosters, oversee the recruitment and management of casual library staff, and develop engaging training programs that support high-quality service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the student and client experience by enabling efficient, responsive and innovative library services.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate Library Client Services rosters and multi-channel service operations across service points.
Lead the recruitment, onboarding, administration and ongoing coordination of casual library staff.
Leverage your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Design, develop and deliver engaging face-to-face and online training programs that build staff capability.
Support data-informed decision making and day-to-day operational leadership within the Client Services team.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the Library to enhance service delivery and contribute to strategic projects and initiatives.
About the Team
The position sits within the University Library and reports to the Team Leader, Library Client Services. The team is responsible for delivering high-impact services that support students, researchers and staff across multiple campuses and service channels. Working closely with Library staff and stakeholders, the team focuses on providing exceptional client experiences and ensuring library services remain responsive, innovative and accessible.
What You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating large or distributed service teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience managing service delivery in a multi-channel client service environment.
Strong capability in developing, delivering and evaluating training programs.
Experience using rostering, service management or library management systems.
Associate Diploma in Library and Information Services, relevant tertiary qualifications, or equivalent experience in library services, adult education, training or related fields.
