Welder- 2nd Class

Based at our Direk (Adelaide) depot and reporting to the Depot Manager, we are seeking a full-time 2nd Class Welder to modify, repair and maintain our ISO Tank fleet. 

The Role

The successful candidate will be an experienced 2nd Class Welder with skills in structural steel, pressure vessels, fabrication, and maintenance. You will perform high-quality structural and stainless-steel repairs on ISO tank containers using TIG and MIG welding, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on ISO tank containers, frames, and associated equipment

• Working in confined space – pressure vessel repairs

• Carry out stainless steel and carbon steel welding and fabrication (where required)

• Assess damage and determine appropriate repair methods

• Perform maintenance and servicing

• Testing – Air & Hydrostatic

• Complete structural repairs and modifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• Maintain high safety and quality standards

What We're Looking For

• MIG & TIG welding skills

• Aluminium welding skills

• Proven experience repairing ISO Tank Containers (highly regarded) 

• Experience with Oxy Acetylene / Plasma cutting

• Experience working with stainless steel

• Experience working with structural steel

• Able to dismantle & refit valves / components – replacing gaskets & seals

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Requirements

• Current driver’s licence

• Full Australian work rights

• Confined Space Entry certification (highly regarded)

• Working Safely at Heights certification (highly regarded)
