The role

We are looking for an experienced and organised Campus Services Manager to oversee the porterage division of our service delivery to our client, La Trobe University.

Reporting to the Contract Manager and working onsite at the La Trobe campus in Bundoora, you will be responsible for ensuring that the porterage team completes all work requests in a timely and safe manner. You and your team will work in partnership with the Cirka cleaning teams to make sure the campus is presented to an exceptional standard.

Some of your duties will include:

• Lead, manage and motivate your team to deliver exceptional furniture delivery, room setup and packdown for general and event services across the University campus.

• Assess and triage all work requests; assigning staff to complete, quote preparation where required, closing off request once works completed.

• Adapting to take on high-priority and last minute service requests.

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders within the University, as well as external suppliers.

• Inducting, training, rostering and coordination of your staff. Providing regular performance feedback and coaching to your team.

• Ensure that your team is compliant with all OH&S practices and procedures. Provide ongoing training to ensure your team can perform their job safely.

• Regular reporting on service delivery, number of work requests delivered, operation to budget, P&L etc.  

• Work in conjunction with Campus Service Manager and Supervisors of cleaning teams to ensure that Cirka delivers a comprehensive facilities management service across the Campus.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who:

• Likely comes from a dispatch, delivery coordination, or warehouse operations background.

• Has the ability to stay calm, move fast, adapt and get things right.

• Experience managing a team of 10-20 and getting the best performance out of them.

• Good understanding of financial processes including purchasing, managing operations within budget and analysis of financial data.

• Hold Australian Drivers Licence, Police Check and Working with Children Check.

• Full-time right to work in Australia.
