Sommelier

About the role

Ante Bar is a vibrant premium dining venue, known for its quality food, beverage offerings and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a full-time Sommelier to join our front-of-house team and provide professional table service in a busy dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attentive food and beverage service to guests

• Take orders accurately and deliver a high standard of table service

• Explain menu items, daily specials and beverage options to customers

• Set up and reset dining areas and maintain presentation standards

• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service

• Process bills and payments using the point-of-sale system

• Maintain cleanliness and service readiness throughout each shift

• Assist in delivering a welcoming and professional guest experience

• Support the smooth operation of front-of-house service during busy trading periods

About you

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a sake sommelier role

• Strong knowledge of sake

• Strong food and beverage service skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment

• Good presentation and customer service skills

• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

• Experience in table service and beverage service within a restaurant, bar or similar hospitality venue will be highly regarded
